[Shakir 81:14] Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared.
[Pickthal 81:14] (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready.
[Yusufali 81:14] (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward.

[Shakir 81:13] And when the garden is brought nigh,
[Pickthal 81:13] And when the Garden is brought nigh,
[Yusufali 81:13] And when the Garden is brought near;-

wa 'ivaa aljaHeemu suEEirat {12}

[Shakir 81:12] And when the hell is kindled up,
[Pickthal 81:12] And when hell is lighted,
[Yusufali 81:12] When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat;

wa 'ivaa alssamaa'u kuciTat {11}

[Shakir 81:11] And when the heaven has its covering removed,
[Pickthal 81:11] And when the sky is torn away,
[Yusufali 81:11] When the world on High is unveiled;

wa 'ivaa alSSuHufu nucirat {10}

[Shakir 81:10] And when the books are spread,
[Pickthal 81:10] And when the pages are laid open,
[Yusufali 81:10] When the scrolls are laid open;

bi 'ayyi vanbin qutilat {9}

[Shakir 81:9] For what sin she was killed,
[Pickthal 81:9] For what sin she was slain,
[Yusufali 81:9] For what crime she was killed;

wa 'ivaa alnnufuusu zuwwijat {7}

[Shakir 81:7] And when souls are united,
[Pickthal 81:7] And when souls are reunited,
[Yusufali 81:7] When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like);

nafs. anfus--weaker plural. nufuus--plural of multitude.
nafs has many derivatives. 'anfaas--breath or tanaffas is to take breath.
almutanaafas: competing with each other(healthy competition)
annaas: always going back and forth. From good to bad.

wa 'ivaa albiHaaru sujjirat {6}

[Shakir 81:6] And when the seas are set on fire,
[Pickthal 81:6] And when the seas rise,
[Yusufali 81:6] When the oceans boil over with a swell;

abHuur: few oceans
biHaar: all vast of water collectively.  Its a plural of multituude. Jumlah kasrah.
The water of the oceans will turn into fuel for the fire.

081/05

wa 'ivaa alwuHuucu Hucirat {5}

[Shakir 81:5] And when the wild animals are made to go forth,
[Pickthal 81:5] And when the wild beasts are herded together,
[Yusufali 81:5] When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations);

Hacara: to gather, really forceful,top one another, crushed together.
Usually only domasticated animal are hearded together. And contrast from previous surah that human beings were running away from each other. 

081/04

wa 'ivaa alEicaaru EuTTilat {4}

[Shakir 81:4] And when the camels are left untended,
[Pickthal 81:4] And when the camels big with young are abandoned,
[Yusufali 81:4] When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended;

alEicaaru: Eicaar is plural of Eacarao; she-camel that are 10month pregnant.
For Arabs, camels are symbol of wealth.
EuTTilat: to become useless.

wa 'ivaa aljibaalu suyyirat {3}

[Shakir 81:3] And when the mountains are made to pass away,
[Pickthal 81:3] And when the hills are moved,
[Yusufali 81:3] When the mountains vanish (like a mirage);

suyyirat: made to move casually. Not rough kind of movement. It just floating away.
sayyaarao; doesnt mean like caravan nowadays. In old times were camels and horses. They travelled softly.
saara; casually take a walk like walking in the garden.

081/02

wa 'ivaa alnnujuumu ankadarat {2}

[Shakir 81:2] And when the stars darken,
[Pickthal 81:2] And when the stars fall,
[Yusufali 81:2] When the stars fall, losing their lustre;

* the brilliant feature of the night also lost its light.

081/01

'ivaa alccamsu kuwwirat {1}

[Shakir 81:1] When the sun is covered,
[Pickthal 81:1] When the sun is overthrown,
[Yusufali 81:1] When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up;

*notes: Normally when the Arab speaks, the verb is used first. In this surah, notice the style and tonne that Allah used. The primary audience is the worst of kaafir who were in denial. Allah is saying to them by putting the noun first.

'ivaa: when. 'iv is for the past. 'ivaa is for the future. Here, something in the future that's guarantee will happen;inevitable.;
kuwwirat: to wrap something . like folding a long turban, the light of the sun is being wrapped out little by little.

wa lawlaa 'iv samiEtumuuhu qultum maa yakuunu lanaa 'an natakallama bi haavaa subHaanaka haavaa buhtaanun EaZeemun {16}

[Shakir 24:16] And why did you not, when you heard it, say: It does not beseem us that we should talk of it; glory be to Thee! this is a great calumny?
[Pickthal 24:16] Wherefor, when ye heard it, said ye not: It is not for us to speak of this. Glory be to Thee (O Allah)! This is awful calumny.
[Yusufali 24:16] And why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? - "It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah! this is a most serious slander!"

samiEtumuuhu: you all heard it

'iv talaqqawnahu bi 'alsinatikum wa taquuluuna bi 'afwaahikum maa laysa lakum bihi Eilmun wa taHsabuunahu hayyinan- wa huwa Einda allahi EaZeemun {15}

[Shakir 24:15] When you received it with your tongues and spoke with your mouths what you had no knowledge of, and you deemed it an easy matter while with Allah it was grievous.
[Pickthal 24:15] When ye welcomed it with your tongues, and uttered with your mouths that whereof ye had no knowledge, ye counted it a trifle. In the sight of Allah it is very great.
[Yusufali 24:15] Behold, ye received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things of which ye had no knowledge; and ye thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah.

talaqqawnahu : u received it| u welcomed it
taHsabuunahu hayyinan- : u deemed it an easy matter | u counted it a trifle | u thought it to be light matter
